The 2023 calendar awards, awarded by the Association Hermanos Saíz (AHS), were presented this Wednesday in the Nicolás Guillén Hall in La Cabaña as part of the Havana International Book Fair.
The winners of the main literary award, awarded by the organization of young creators, were announced at the act, which was attended by Roberto Morales Ojeda, member of the Politburo and organizing secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba, Eileen Alvarez Garcia, first secretary of the Union of Young Communists and Rafael González Muñoz, National President of AHS, who, along with intellectuals and participants in the big Cuban book festival, entertained the winners.

Youth educator Francisco López Sacha concluded the awards event with a presentation of the winners of the latest edition of games that are already on sale and will be included in the distribution network, as well as presentations that AHS will be holding throughout the year.
Established nearly three decades ago, the Calendar Prize is a way for most young Cuban writers to enter the circle of publications their hierarchy desires. This year, more than a hundred competition books covered sections of the award, in which a specialized jury recognized the figures of Cuban letters in each of the categories.
