The iconic Teatro Marti in this capital organizes a varied program dedicated to the 125th anniversary of the birth of the Andalusian poet, playwright and prose writer Federico García Lorca, PL stressed.
The presentation also includes other commemorations, as part of a birthday gala in which Lorca (1898-1936) is the necessary link to remember figures who are part of the history of Cuban art and culture.
The concert program includes sopranos, tenors and baritones who will remember the outstanding Spanish artist, while Cuban musicians such as dedicated flautist Nyurka González and clarinetist Igor Urruchi from the land of Lorca will take part in this offering to the maestro. .
Lorca was also known for his ability to write dramatic works and was considered one of the leading figures in the Spanish theater of the 20th century, along with Valle Inclan and Buero Vallejo.
His important time on the stage marked the poetic meaning in this manifestation, revolving around basic symbols such as blood, a knife or a rose.
Aware of the success of poetic rural dramas, Lorca staged the tragedies Bodas de sangre (1933) and Yerma (1934), a juxtaposition of myth, poetry and reality.
