Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Cuban Communist Party and President of the Republic of Cuba, has criticized the persecution of the Buena Fe duo in Spain.

For his part, Cuban Minister of Culture Alpidio Alonso called the persecution of the Buena Fe duo in Spain cowardly, McCarthy and fascist acts, the official said on his Twitter account.

Alonso also dismissed the pressure being put on venue owners to schedule his concerts in the country, whom he ironically called “the new champions of respect for diversity and freedom of expression.”

Public condemnation of attempts to boycott performances by Cuban musicians in the Iberian country multiplied on social media using the hashtag #ConBuenaFeYo. “Fascist atrocities are sometimes committed in the name of freedom,” Spanish singer Pilar Boyero tweeted.

For its part, the Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba (UNEAC) issued a statement expressing outrage at the “barbarism manifested in persecution and persecution” that the artists of the island have been subjected to in recent days. in Spain, and businessmen and promoters of this country made his tour of several cities.
