“Reading Grows” is a Martian package that will guide visitors’ steps towards the 31st. Havana International Book Fair, located in the Military Historical Park of San Carlos de la Cabaña and the Historic Center of Havana, dedicated on this occasion to the National Literary Prize Julio Travieso Serrano 2021 and to the librarian Araceli García Carranza Bassetti.
The great literary festival that opens today has the sister country of Colombia as its guest of honor this year, and among its main themes are inclusive reading and the so-called editorial revolution, which has markedly changed the way literature is consumed not only on the national stage, but also on the foreign stage.
Until next February 19, readers will be able to enjoy four million titles from a wide variety of genres and a wide range of cultural events. The event, decorating February with letters, is also dedicated to the centenary of the birth of Fina Garcia Marrus and Antonio Nunez Jimenez and provides an opportunity to establish a dialogue with writers from the guest country.
