Knowing that he could not afford such a huge amount – half his nominal salary – he decided to sign up for the famous waiting list. So, on the third night, he was lucky enough to be called over the loudspeakers of the terminal in Bayam “to Havana.”
But it was half the state. Yes, because, having paid the regulated 220 pesos and got on the bus, the driver asked him for a ticket. Then the traveler, who had not boarded the Yutong bus for a long time, demanded “his half” as proof of his transfer. “I’m on a business trip, I need a voucher,” he explained.
The man on the bus replied dryly. “This is no longer given, friend, I will keep it, I must deliver it.” But the seller insisted; At this time, the driver replied: “Go to the terminal and get a duplicate, ask the girl at the checkout.”
And so a man in trouble went to ask for the famous duplicate. Oh, and why didn’t you ask me when I gave you the ticket? It should have been at the moment, now it is no longer possible, the system does not allow,” the woman told him.
“Why can’t you?” asked the astonished citizen. “No, I already told you. Since when have you not been traveling? If you don’t ask for it immediately, I won’t be able to give it to you, that’s the way it works,” she replied.
The incredulous man tried to speak to the shift supervisor, but she answered the same, asked him since when he had not traveled and pronounced a sentence: “You can’t, if you don’t ask for a duplicate, there is no money at the moment.”
Several passengers, having watched the documentary, that is, the scene, began to support the person “without a receipt”. “There must be a formula,” one of them said. “The computer can handle it,” said another. “What barbarism,” snapped a third.
The truth is that our protagonist finally didn’t have his “duplicate” and drove hundreds of kilometers in disgust, thinking about the absurdity he had just experienced.
Along the way, he wondered if such a mess was the fault of an “external factor,” as it is sometimes said, to justify the unjustified, or if it was an idea presented in the forum on the walls and stones in the citizen’s path. . And also, how many others have experienced similar episodes, when the rights of the client and even the client himself are trampled, cut, shaken.
What kind of computer system is this so outdated that it can’t restore a simple duplicate a few seconds after the ticket is issued? Where do you go when events like this happen? Could the inventors of this procedure put themselves in the place of travelers, our worried passenger asked himself.
And he recalled an incident when, many years ago, he had lost a ticket, which he had to pay again in full, because it was a “set” case, an outrage very similar to “instantly duplicated.”
It was doubted that once his story was known, someone “from above” would reflect on these issues and look for a solution so that it would not happen again to others.
He thought that among so many daily difficulties, there is never a lack of “innovations”, rules, mechanisms or “games”, which not only do not bring satisfaction and do not remove obstacles, but cause bitterness in our fellow citizens. .
