Members of the Union of Informaticians of Cuba (UIC) from across the country will meet on March 7 and 8 to evaluate the organization’s performance and approve the path to follow during the next period, published on its institutional website.

Attention to members, knowledge management and innovation, international relations and relations with other Cuban organizations, information and communication technology (ICT), training, as well as the review of the statutes are among the main topics of the UIC General Assembly, which celebrates its seventh anniversary on March 7th.

Focused on promoting the digital transformation in which the country is immersed, the youngest Cuban civil society organization has a social character and a national dimension, with territorial structures in each of the provinces and a special municipality of Isla de la Juventud. This is a self-funded and non-profit organization of ICT professionals, as described in the note.

This meeting, which will be held at the Havana Convention Center, will elect a new National Board and Board of Directors of the organization.
