Cuba defeats Dragones de Chunichi 3-2

Okinawa, Japan, 19 February. This Sunday, the Cuban baseball team beat the Chunichi Dragons of the Japanese Pro League in preparation for the V World Classic.

Antilles ambassador Miguel Angel Ramirez threw the first ball in a friendly game, followed by Japanese club director Kazuyoshi Tatsunami in the batter’s field and four-letter squad manager Armando Johnson in the catcher.

The victory went to pitcher Nikel Cruz and Frankie Quintana made a save.

The defeat was suffered by the 54th number of Kento Fujishima.

On the Cuban side, strikers Luis Vicente Mateo (4-2), as well as Yoelkis Guibert, Yadir Draik and Dayan Garcia scored one goal each. The connection of Alfredo Despaigne (one managed) was also timely.

The dragon attack dealt six hits.

In defense, Cuba made the only challenge mistake.

This second warm-up match took place in a crowded Chatan Park stadium, where a large part of the fans supported the performance of the Cuban team.

The clashes with Golondrinas de Yakult and Gigantes de Yomiuri are scheduled to take place on the 21st and 22nd, respectively, here in the southern prefecture of Japan, and end on the 23rd against the SoftBank Hawks in Miyazaki.
