Right-hander Jariel Rodriguez will be Cuba’s starting pitcher against the Netherlands on the opening day of the Group A V World Baseball Classic, team officials announced today.
In statements to digital newspaper Jit, the pitcher said he feels able to take on the challenge, ready and willing to take the hill on the 8th at the Intercontinental Stadium in that city.
