FIFA Colosseum opens in Sports City

This Saturday, the Electronic Sports Association of Cuba (ADEC), together with Inder and other alliances, will host a competitive FIFA 23 video game tournament called FIFA Coliseum at Havana’s Coliseo de la Ciudad Deportiva with 128 participants. players, mostly from the capital.

During a press conference held on Tuesday detailing the competition, several of its main goals were revealed, including hosting an e-sports event with Inder, normalizing esports and its competition in Cuban society. and the opportunity to choose among 128 participants a player who will represent our country at the next Pan American Games in Santiago de Chile (October 20 to November 5, 2023) in the EFootball discipline.

“Another goal of this event, which will take place in the Sports City, is to start building a certain professionalism in our community of practitioners focused on participating in events of the scale of the Pan American Games. For his part, Alexis Trista, group vice president, said that esports competitions are an incredible generator of interpersonal connections, as people meet with similar interests and thus promote social activity. He added that scientific studies have shown that the psychological abilities of esports players are revealed, especially at the level of motivation, goal setting and organizational planning.
