Players under 17 will seek a ticket to the World Cup

The national U-17 team will be looking for a ticket to the World Cup starting from February 11 next year at the Concacaf tournament, which will be held until the 26th of this month at the stadiums Doroteo Guamuch Flores and Pensativo de Guatemala.

The guys under the command of Sandro Sevillano are located in group G of the fair, where they will meet with representatives from Costa Rica, Jamaica and Guadeloupe.

The Greater Antilles team’s initial goal is to finish in the top 3 of their bracket and thus advance to the round of 16, in which teams from Bermuda, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic and Nicaragua, leaders of sections A, B, C and D in that order.

The main goal is to be among the four semi-finalists of the event who would secure a ticket to the World Championships in this category, which will be held in five cities in Peru from November 10 to December 2 this year.

The Islands’ roster, published Tuesday on the official Twitter account of the Cuban Football Association, consists of 20 players.

Isuhanis Perez and Juriksander Zayas will be in goal.

Leandro Garcia, Georganis Teles, Christian Alejandro Perez, Victor Manuel Coutinho, Chaison Abel Herrera and Yizi Quiñones will be in charge of the defensive zone.

In the center of the field, the roles will be distributed between Leonel Kindelan, Leinier Juanes, Maicol Vega, Diego Vento, Enmanuel Rivera and Enzo Viamontes.

Finally, Lisardo Hernandez, Yanceel Reynoso, Didier Lorenzo Reynoso, Hanoi Armando Sosa, Jade Nicolás Quiñones and Rainiel Eduardo Morales are responsible for the goals.
