Tennessee, March 27th.— At least seven people, three minors and four adults, including a perpetrator, have died in a primary election shooting in the south-central US city of Nashville, Tennessee, local officials said on Monday.
The Covenant School, a private Christian elementary center in the Burton Hills area, was the site of a shooting during a rally in which police killed the 28-year-old shooter after stating that it could be a teenager, Telesur reported.
“Three pediatric patients were taken to Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital in Vanderbilt, all with gunshot wounds. All three were pronounced dead upon arrival,” the authorities said.
Nashville Police Department spokesman Don Aaron said at a press conference that the alleged assailant entered the school through a side door carrying two assault rifles and at least one handgun. In these first statements, the police did not know if the woman had anything to do with the school.
