The 26th Annual Meeting of the São Paulo Forum (FSP) will take place in Brazil in June, as agreed at the FSP working group meeting held in Bogotá over the weekend, with 51 participants from 26 parties from 16 countries.

The Cuban delegation present at the meeting was headed by the Deputy Head of the Department of International Relations of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba, Angel Arzuaga Reyes, who expressed our solidarity with the government and people of Colombia and reaffirmed the importance of unity in the diversity of forces, social and popular movements, the progressive and left-wing intelligentsia of Latin America and Caribbean against imperialism and far-right fascists.

During the working sessions, extensive information was provided on the reality of Colombia, especially on the reforms promoted by the government of Gustavo Petro in areas such as health and labor. Subsequently, drafts of the Basic Document on the 26th. FSP meeting, proposed program of activities, Action Plan for 2023 and final Declaration.

The speeches and documents presented at the meeting expressed solidarity with Cuba, especially in the fight against the increasing blockade of the United States, it was required to be removed from the false list of state sponsors of terrorism, the role of the Caribbean nation was recognized as the guarantor of the peace process in Colombia.
