ALBA-TCP strongly condemns new Israeli military operation in Gaza

The Bolivarian Association of the Peoples of Our America and the Peoples’ Trade Treaty (ALBA-TCP) strongly condemned the new Israeli military operation in the Gaza Strip.

According to Prensa Latina, the Latin American and Caribbean Integration Mechanism indicated on its Twitter account that several people had died as a result of attacks against the brotherly Palestinian people.

Likewise, the ALBA-TCP Executive Secretariat pressed for peace and the necessary respect for international law and the Charter of the United Nations.

Palestinian health ministry sources said that during the fourth day of shelling and incursions into the Gaza Strip, at least 30 people were killed and another 90 wounded by shrapnel from the Israeli occupying forces.

They specified that among the dead were six children and three women, and of the total number of victims, more than thirty minors.

More than 143 Palestinians have been killed by the Tel Aviv army and Israeli settlers in the occupied West Bank and Gaza since early 2023, according to Wafa news agency, including 26 children and six women.

Deputy United Nations spokesman Farhan Haq and Palestinian authorities warned this Friday of a humanitarian catastrophe in the latter territory, where border crossings guaranteeing the entry of food, medicine and other essentials were closed.

Haq condemned Israel’s ban on the planned entry of about 600 trucks loaded with essential goods, food, medicine and fuel.
