The first route of the European sleeper train, known as the goodnight train, has already been launched. The new Belgian-Dutch railway company, founded by Elmer van Buuren and Chris Engelsman, aims to improve overnight travel in Europe and reduce the continent’s carbon footprint.

After the opening of the Berlin-Brussels line in mid-May, night trains return from lines connecting major cities and crossing several countries. A train ticket costs between 49 and 109 euros… and is an eco-friendly alternative to air travel and road travel. This initiative, driven by the private transport sector, will no doubt help restart the European rail system.
