The album Ancestros Sinfonico by Síntesis, Eme and X Alfonso won the Grand Prix at the International Exhibition Cubadisco 2023.
In the category “Son and Peasant Traditions”, the album Memorias by Pancho Amat and his Cabildo del Son was the winner, as announced at the gala evening held at the Avellaneda Hall of the National Theater in this capital.
Rolando Luna also won first prizes for “My soul” in the songs in the “Instruments” section and “Los Muñequitos de Matanzas” with the soundtrack “70 years with the power of the rumba” in “Rumbera Tradition and Ritual”, PL points out. Meanwhile, Batanga performed by El Nene and the Estrellas de Areíto Orchestra took first place in the Varied Traditional.
The other winners were Havana in Hernán López-Nussa’s magnificent manner in jazz; Sometimes with the voices of Anais Abreu, Yvette Zepeda, Yaima Saez and Isis Flores in the “Song” section; and duet Buena Fe with the album Morada in Contemporary Song.
This Sunday there will be a concert by the National Symphony Orchestra with Marta Gomez at 11:00 local time at the Covarrubias Hall, also at the National Theater of Cuba, an excellent proposal that will end the biggest party in the recording industry in the Caribbean.
