The Museo de las Parrandas, located in the city of Remedios Villa Clara, was recognized by the Cuban Committee of ICOM (International Council of Museums) as the best in 2022 among more than 300 existing throughout the country, taking into account the comprehensive and ongoing work in the field of museology, protection and management of its collections and in communication with the public.

Specialists Eric González Bello and Juan Carlos Hernandez Rodriguez, the chief executives of this cultural institution, in an interview recently offered to the Vanguardia newspaper, noted that after such a difficult stage as the one that the world experienced in March 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic the museum, hoping to celebrate the long-awaited bicentenary of the parranda tradition, began to strengthen public relations, which it had already led to before the inscription of parranda on the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage. humanity in 2018.

This institution was established in 1980 as a result of the popular claim that there is a place in the city to preserve, promote, study and protect traditions.
