At the Theoretical Colloquium on Literature and Audiovisual Production for Children and Adolescents, within the framework of the Congress program, various experiences related to work for and with children and their satisfactory results in the resulting products were exchanged.
A group of participants from the International Educational Film Show (MICE) in Cuba detailed the results of workshops such as designing robots and others supported by ICAIC Animation Studies to develop skills in children and adolescents.
Ariadna Agudin, director of La Casa de Mama Tomasa, a children’s radio program broadcast on Radio Taíno, as well as the Children’s Creative Workshop, spoke about some of the intricacies of working during 10 years of continuous work on this project, which, no doubt, influenced his professional interests participants. He added that the support of the La Fela Local Development Project has played a critical role in expanding its outreach to the Luyano community and in an inclusive manner.
Filmmaker Pablo Massip, Director of ALMAR Producciones, stressed the need to create opportunities for the creative participation of children and adolescents in the work of acting directors of these populations in the production of audiovisual material, which, although intended for an adult audience, is enriched by their contribution.
ALMAR Producciones producer Ana Maria Dominguez spoke about nature photography workshops for children and their impact on environmental awareness.
The experiences of Villa Clara, the municipality of Matanzas Cardenas and Mayabeque were also known, while scenarios are created in each of these areas so that children and adolescents can lead the production of products for them.
A fruitful discussion showed that it is necessary to support high-quality literary and audiovisual production for children and adolescents, focused on their personal growth, education and recreation.
