A decade after its inception, Cuban cultural billboard La Papeleta is now in second place at the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS prizes), according to Prensa Latina.
The runner-up initiative in the category of cultural diversity, identity, linguistics and local content was recognized in the 2023 competition organized by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) and the United Nations (UN).
The tool stood out among the four nominations presented by the Caribbean island, including the Youth Ecological Mobile Club of the Young Computer and Electronics Club, the Mi luz en la montaña program and the Single Window for Foreign Investments.
