Women’s hurdles final to be hot
With Puerto Rican Jasmine Camacho Queen showing up with a game record of 12.60 seconds, the women’s 100m hurdles final should be a great show. In the above competition, Cuban Gracis Roble won her semi-final run with an excellent time of 13.02 seconds, which guarantees her presence in the final without fear. For her part, another Caribbean representative, Kaylie Perez, placed fourth in the first run with a time of 13.58, which, although modest, was enough to qualify for the medal race.
Among the semi-final highlights was the fact that Costa Rican Andrea Vargas also managed to fall by less than 13 seconds with a time of 12.91.

Silver and bronze medals in fencing
Cuban Yania Gavilan won the silver medal in the women’s epee fencing competition at the Central American Games in San Salvador. The Creole fencer fell in a closed match against Colombian Carmen Andrea Correa with a score of 13-15. It is curious that it was the same marker with which ours beat the Venezuelan Lizz Asis in the semifinals. Among other results of the day for Cuba in fencing, our saber representative Hansel Rodriguez lost in the semi-final 4-15 to Eliecer Romero from Venezuela.

The Cubans had very good competition, jumping improved in qualification as they passed the test, but it was not enough to give home to the Aztecs.
It was Tuti de Cuba’s third Games medal, following her silver in the three-meter synchronized springboard and bronze in the one-meter individual. Ramos, for his part, won two awards, as it was bronze in the personal podium.

Cuba will not retain the Central American ice hockey title
The Cuban men’s field hockey team, which arrived in San Salvador in search of the Central Caribbean crown they won in the 2018 Barranquilla tournament, will not be able to complete their task because they lost to a similar team from Mexico on Tuesday. 5-3.
A lawsuit that redrawn the final of the previous version of the regional battle, when ours took the victory over the Aztecs.
The goals for Cuba were Carlos Consuegra, Darian Valero and Iraides Calderon; while for the winning team, the best with a stick was Daniel Castillo, who scored four goals, while his teammate Alexander Sandoval managed to score once.

Cuba tops their men’s water polo qualifying group by beating Puerto Rico this afternoon in a superb duel that ended in a 12-11 shootout.
The win secured the Antillean team a place in the quarter-finals of these Central American Games in San Salvador in 2023.
Cubans can return to the final in the Central Caribbean zone, as happened in Barranquilla 2018.
On this occasion, they lost the gold medal to Colombia 12-10, although in that sense, not everything was said at the facilities of the Ciudad Merliot sports complex in San Salvador.
This Wednesday, July 5, they will face Guatemala for the semi-finals, in a match they should dominate without serious defeat.
