The visit of a member of the Politburo of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Chairman of the National Assembly Vuong Dinh Hue takes place in the context of the founding session of the X Legislative Assembly of the National Assembly of People’s Power on April 19 this year, the 50th anniversary of Fidel’s visit to this brotherly country and the 60th anniversary of the establishment of the Cuban Solidarity Committee with South Vietnam.
According to the website of the Cuban Parliament, Vuong Dinh Hue arrived in Cuba on Tuesday on an official visit in response to the invitation of his colleague Esteban Lazo Hernandez.
Upon arrival at José Martí International Airport in Havana, he was met by Ana Maria Marie Machado, Vice President of the National Assembly of People’s Power and the Council of State; Emilio Losada Garcia, Head of the International Relations Department of the Central Committee of the Party; Angel Villa Hernandez, Director of Bilateral Relations, Ministry of Foreign Affairs; and Yolanda Ferrer Gomez, President of the Foreign Relations Commission of the Cuban Parliament.
Also present at the terminal were Le Thanh Tung, the ambassador of the brotherly Asian nation in Havana; and members of the Vietnamese community of the Greater Antilles.
During his stay in our country, scheduled until April 23, at the head of a large delegation of parliamentarians, ministers and other leaders; The distinguished guest will negotiate with the Cuban authorities and, among other things, will visit places of historical, economic and social interest.
