“I am delighted to cordially welcome you and the delegation you are leading,” said Salvador Valdes Mesa, Politburo member and Vice President of the Republic of Cuba, Wednesday afternoon from the Palace of the Revolution. , General Director of the Federal Bailiffs Service of Russia, Colonel-General Dmitry Aristov.
Valdes Mesa conveyed the greetings of the First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party and the President of the Republic of Cuba, Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez, to the guest and other members of the high-level delegation, which is currently implementing the working agenda on the island.
The Cuban Vice President commented to the Director General of the Federal Bailiff Service of Russia that his visit is taking place within the framework of the excellent level at which relations between the Eurasian country and the island now live; and emphasized that the support of previous visits, such as the visits to the Russian Federation by the dignitary Diaz-Canel and the President of the National Assembly of People’s Power, Esteban Lazo Hernandez, are of strategic importance for this arrival.
The host recalled that the Caribbean country had recently been visited by important political figures from a country located across the Atlantic; which, he said, is a sign of the solidity and political will of both governments to continue strengthening ties.
Valdez Mesa expressed special gratitude to the Russian Federation – on behalf of the Cuban government and people – for the friendly country’s permanent position in condemning and renouncing the imperialist blockade of Cuba, and for doing so in the face of “the unjust inclusion of our country in the false list of countries supporting terrorism.
He also thanked for the valuable assistance – “humanitarian and supporting the Government and the people of Russia” – provided to the Caribbean country in these difficult times. And after explaining in detail the many imperial sieges, including the media, that Cuba is subjected to, he told visitors: “Our greatest desire is to live in peace and maintain relations with the United States, as with everyone else. peace.” He commented that this provision was formulated in more than one meeting with representatives of the northern country.
In a different order of ideas, a member of the Politburo mentioned the moment (April 2019) when the new Constitution of the Republic was adopted on the island. This was, he mused, the starting point of “a vast legislative process in our country, far surpassing former times.”
“A broad procedural and judicial reform was developed, largely led by the Supreme People’s Court,” which in a significant way gravitated “into our justice system.” The Vice-President of Cuba gave the following assessment to the General Director of the Federal Bailiffs Service of Russia, Colonel-General Dmitry Aristov:
“Of course, your visit will be very useful for the continuous improvement of our judicial system, taking into account the experience of the institution that you manage; and also it will be useful for other activities in the country.”
For his part, the visiting friend thanked for the opportunity to meet this Wednesday and for the “noble and generous words” that Salvador Valdes conveyed to the delegation on behalf of President Diaz-Canel.
“Each of the authorities in our country contributes to the development of relations between the two countries and states,” Dmitry Aristov said on the day of the exchange of views, in which the Chairman of the Supreme People’s Council also participated from the Cuban side. Court, Ruben Remigio Ferro.
