Judo and shooting represent the teams heading to the Central Caribbean.

Recently, the federations of each sport announced the judo and shooting sports teams that will represent Cuba at the Central American and Caribbean Games in San Salvador in 2023.

The 14 men and women who will climb the tatami of the José Adolfo Pineda Municipal Gym will be led by Olympic champion and multi-medalist Idalis Ortiz in the weight category over 78 kg, world champion in 2022. In the past games of Barranquilla 2018, judokas from the Greater Antilles have dominated the country table with a harvest of eight gold, three silver and six bronze medals, for a total of 17 podium finishes.
