Rodrigo Malmierca will develop a broad program for his visit to Colombia

Cuban Foreign Trade Minister Rodrigo Malmierca will hold an official meeting today with Colombian Trade, Industry and Tourism Minister Germán Humaña to strengthen bilateral ties.

The meeting will be attended by other bodies from this portfolio and from the National Institute for Food and Drug Administration (Invima).

The Cuban minister arrived this Sunday in the South American country on an official visit to strengthen trade, cooperation and fraternal ties between the two countries and will meet with the President of Colombia, Carmen Caballero, accompanied by Human.

Procolombia is the government agency responsible for promoting Colombian exports, international tourism and foreign investment in this South American country.

According to the program of his visit, which will last until next Wednesday, the head of the foreign economic service of Cuba will also meet with the leadership of Bancóldex, a development bank for business growth in Colombia.

Later, he will take part in a discussion with businessmen Umaña and Caballero on the topic “Prospects for trade relations between Colombia and Cuba and a view from Colombia on the Caribbean.”

The two countries established diplomatic relations in 1902 after gaining their final independence and are based on mutual respect and respect for international law.
