The United Nations (UN) and the Haitian Ministry of Planning signed on Thursday the Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework covering the period 2023-2027 as a collective response in support of the 2030 Commitment to Sustainable Development agenda at the local level. sources said.

Under the agreement, the UN is committed to investing about a billion dollars over the next five years, of which 40 percent are available resources and 60 percent have not yet been mobilized.
The Special Representative of the Secretary-General and Head of the United Nations Integrated Office in Haiti (Binuch), Madame Maria Isabelle Salvador, pledged to “play her part in this agenda to bring Haiti to prosperity, guaranteeing human rights and gender equality.”
