BEIJING, 25 April. — The Communist Parties of China (CCP) and Cuban Communist Party (CCP) celebrated their 5th anniversary in this capital on Tuesday. The theoretical seminar discussed topics such as economic development, political and ideological work with youth and training.

The rally was held at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing and was opened by Li Shuelei, Politburo member and head of the propaganda department of the CPC Central Committee; and Roberto Morales Ojeda, member of the Politburo and organizational secretary of the CPC Central Committee.

In his speech, Li emphasized the importance of such meetings for inter-party relations and between the two countries, and mentioned the mutual learning of the two communist organizations in the process of building socialism, reports Prensa Latina.

He talked about the actions being taken within the CCP to strengthen the leadership, unite its members, implement China’s development plans for the greatest benefit to the people, and fight corruption.

Li believed that the seminar can make a new contribution to the construction of socialism with its own characteristics, demonstrates the common direction of the two sides and, in addition, the special friendship of the countries.

Meanwhile, Morales Ojeda pointed out that the leading role of both political forces is an essential component of bilateral relations and should make a decisive contribution to the implementation of the consensus reached by their top leaders.

“Permanent dialogue, mutual trust and cooperation in all areas, including consent and support in regional and international forums, have been and must remain the cornerstone of our ties,” the Cuban leader said in his speech.

He expressed confidence that the questions discussed at the seminar contributed to the deepening of mutual understanding and the strengthening of the socialist cause in Cuba and China.

“The development of our economy, political and ideological work and the role of youth in the continuity of our socialist heritage today are the general priorities of work in the construction of socialism with their own characteristics,” he said.

The 5th Theoretical Seminar between PKCh and PKK held meetings in three groups, in which representatives of each country discussed the role of the party in the economic sphere, personnel formation and political and ideological work with youth.

The previous edition took place virtually in March 2022 and featured messages from Xi Jinping and Miguel Diaz-Canel, top leaders of the CCP and CCP respectively.

These events are important mechanisms for the exchange of experience in the process of building socialism in Cuba and China.
